Trading account passwords and dashboard security
The difference between the master and investor passwords, why they cannot be changed, and how to enable two-factor login.
The trading account passwords (master and investor) are issued by the system when the account is created and can never be changed or recovered. Store them somewhere safe.
| Password type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Master password | Full access — can open and close trades |
| Investor password | Read-only access — view the account, no trading |
Your dashboard password (this one can be changed)
The dashboard password is separate from the trading account password and can be changed under Profile → Security in your dashboard.
Enabling two-factor login (2FA)
- 1Sign in
Log in to your dashboard.
- 2Profile → Security
From the menu, open Profile and then the Security section.
- 3Enable
Choose Enable 2FA and set it up by scanning the QR code or entering the manual key into your authenticator app.
Preserving your authenticator app and its associated codes matters a great deal. If you lose access, the responsibility is yours.
Changing your email, phone number or name
Changing your email or mobile number requires a ticket. A change of first or last name is only made once it fully matches a valid identity document, and account details are never changed at the request of a third party.
