Rules on devices, IP, VPN and VPS
Changing IP is fine, sharing a device is prohibited, and a VPS is not permitted under any circumstances.
- Changing IP — on its own this is not a violation, and using different IPs is allowed
- Using a VPN, but only where MetaTrader cannot connect without one and you have approval from the technical team
- Using official, approved builds of the trading platform
- Using a VPS (virtual private server) — not permitted under any circumstances
- Sharing one device between several users
- Frequently changing devices, or many logins from different devices in short intervals
- Using remote-control tools
- Using false information or a proxy to bypass geographic restrictions
The device identifier (CID) rule
The CID is a unique identifier for the user's device when it connects to the trading servers. Every trading account must be managed only from a device belonging to that same user. This rule applies at every stage — the challenge, active accounts, tournaments and any other plan — with no exceptions.
In the event of a violation, all linked accounts are permanently blocked and any profit or submitted payout request is rejected.
IP rules
Changing IP on its own is not a violation. But sharing one IP between several users — especially where trading activity looks similar — may be treated as suspicious. If unusual patterns are seen, Propia reserves the right to review the linked accounts and apply restrictions.
Security checks
If suspicious activity is identified, Propia reserves the right to call you or request a video verification to confirm your identity and that the account is managed by you personally. Not cooperating with this process may lead to restrictions or to the account being rejected.
